At Trimble, I work as the subject matter expert. Working for the R&D department, my function is to provide quality electrical solutions, design, and documentation for Electrical Design software for the marketplace addressed by Trimble, using best practices and agreed quality processes, specifications, and timescales. I work with popular software packages used by the Building Services industry, namely, ProDesign, Protect, Single Cable, PowerNet and Stabicad. My day-to-day task spans from translate electrical requirements, standard documents and specifications into new features, improvements, processes, and algorithms. Create quality technical documentations and specifications for the development team, based on the product needs and requirements. Actively participate in designing of the electrical design systems. Work closely with the Product manager, product team, Development manager, development, and QA teams. Troubleshoot and identify customer queries and problems. Participate in developing test scenarios and automated test cases. Participate in the software approval and deployment process. Assist with the production of user stories and development plans. Ensure all tasks worked on during the day are updated daily in Jira. Oversee installation, upgrades, setup, and configuration. Work closely with the support team to address and resolve customer queries and problems. Provide customer services and end users support as required. Work with other product, development, and support team members to produce the highest quality products possible. Participate in products planning meetings, demos, and other relevant events.
