observe, evaluate, admit, manage, and treat patients who come to the hospital. Activities include daily work rounds, progress notes, orders, communication with nursing staff, attending physicians and other care providers. Supervise, motivate, and teach multiple residents and medical students on service. Manage critically ill patients in the ICU, high risk obstetric patients, and other intensive inpatient experiences. Diagnose and treat patients with chronic and acute health conditions such as MI, arrhythmias, COPD, asthma, CHF, Cirrhosis, GI bleed, pneumonia, UTI, Sepsis, Shock, Substance use disorder etc. Admit and discharge patients to appropriate facilities by working closely with case managers and social workers. Complete multiple admissions on call day and round on a minimum of twelve patients during the day. Respond and manage Code Blue and Rapid Responses. Responsible for extensive outpatient interactions including dailyclinic and triaging patients via answering service call for a diversepopulation. Responsibility included adult medicine, maternity care, women’s health, acute adult and pediatric visits, geriatric care, and outpatient procedures including pap smear, nexplanon placement and removal. Chronic Disease Management: Spearheaded care for patients with complex conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma, achieving measurable improvements in clinical outcomes through evidence-based practices.
