As a CPA and accomplished accounting professional, I bring more than a decade of experience across public accounting, higher education, and applied research. My career began at Deloitte, where I directed audit engagements for Fortune 500 and mid-sized clients, strengthened internal controls, and trained junior auditors to deliver high-quality work under GAAP and PCAOB standards. Those early years shaped my foundation in technical excellence, client engagement, and risk management.Driven by a passion for mentorship and ethics in business, I pursued a Ph.D. in Accounting at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, supported by competitive fellowships and doctoral scholarships. My research and teaching roles deepened my expertise in corporate governance, auditing, and financial reporting, while also sharpening my ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights for students and professionals alike.At Creighton University and West Texas A&M University, I designed and delivered courses in auditing, ethics, and financial reporting, consistently earning recognition for excellence in teaching and mentorship. Beyond the classroom, I led service-learning initiatives that connected students with community organizations, aligning academic growth with real-world impact. My scholarship has been published in respected journals, and my recent work on AI in accounting has shaped professional conversations through TXCPA and other forums.Today, I am focused on bringing this combined expertise in public accounting rigor, academic insight, and leadership in ethics and technology back into practice.    I recently accepted an opportunity to take on a new role as an Accounting Subject Matter Expert (SME) at QOC Innovations, the fastest growing certified Odoo partner in the U.S. In this role, I support project teams in understanding customer requirements and building out customized ERP solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations for a seamless system implementation.
