   Provide resource RN services within the 5 Scripps system hospitals in San Diego County. Departments: DOU/Step-Down, Trauma, Observation, Cardiac Cath. Lab (pre. & post-op), Telemetry, Surgical Acute/Recovery, Orthopedics, and Medical-Surgical. Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the RN scope of practice. Directing and guiding patient and family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within multiple hospital units. Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to assigned patients. Communicating with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical conditions including: cardiac monitoring, surgical recovery, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.
