Responsibilities- End user of SAP system for maintaining stock levels, entries of new stock, ordering of new materials and track shipment. Identify needs and usage patterns, deciding on proper inventory levels and purchasing actions, creating order requisitions, ensuring on-time delivery, and bringing closure to the purchasing process- Responsible for minimum/maximum and reorder point levels, materials master maintenance and supplier relationship optimization- Ensure all purchases and subcontracting is made through approved vendors with reference to Approved Suppliers List- Create and maintain accurate Materials Master information for all assigned parts, including account and category assignment, alternate part number relationships, and alternate unit of measure conversions- Assist in developing and managing programs/tools such as supplier performance evaluations as well as measuring internal performance and continuous improvement- Support pricing projects, source selection projects, and obtain status as necessary to serve internal company needs- Actively support lean initiatives and the lean process improvement philosophy throughout the work environment from time to time. Work in conjunction with the entire Logistic, Operations and Finance departments to analyze, recommend and coordinate all supply chain opportunities- Encourage safe working and report all health & safety incidents to line manager. Has an awareness of the methods for storage of waste. Is aware of site environmental significant aspects- Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the EHS policy and management system, the importance of conforming to EHS policies and procedures, and consequences of failing to comply with EHS policies and procedures.
