About Abdulrahman Osilan

I’m Abdulrahman Osilan, a KGSP scholar and data science student with a minor in mathematics at Penn State, passionate about using data and strategy to drive innovation and solve meaningful problems. I’m currently interning in business development and market research, where I support go-to-market strategies, conduct competitive analysis, identify potential clients, and help uncover insights that inform business decisions. This hands-on experience is strengthening my ability to think commercially, collaborate across functions, and translate data into strategic outcomes. In parallel, I work as a research assistant with Prof. Kim, focusing on white dwarf stars, developing skills in scientific data analysis and research collaboration. Leadership has always been a driving force in my journey. I currently serve as Vice President of Penn State Esports, leading one of the largest student organizations across campuses with over 1,400 members. I’ve also held leadership roles across disciplines, including my role as a Math Learning Assistant, where I supported academic success and earned recommendations from both students and faculty, including Prof. Narayanan and Prof. Bang. Before college, I held a leadership role in Ankaa Esports in Saudi Arabia, where I helped grow the organization, lead community engagement, and organize tournaments, contributing to its rise as a respected name in the local esports scene. Business strategy and project management aren’t just career goals, they’re areas I genuinely enjoy and continuously grow in.
