ABOUT ABDULLAH SALEH

Pediatric surgeon and non-profit director with more than a decade of experience in creating sustainable, affordable, and technology-driven global health solutions that have impact hundreds of thousands of people in low-to-middle-income countries (LMICs). Past and current initiatives center around water sanitation, trauma injury and prevention, medical informatics, access to surgical care, energy-efficient appliances, and incubating the next generation of entrepreneurs in Kenya. My goals and vision have been largely influenced by the diverse locales of my upbringing and professional experiences (Iraq, France, Malaysia, Canada, Ecuador, Kenya) and the gainful knowledge and partnerships acquired during medical training. Whether repairing a birth defect in the operating room or designing a social enterprise in Africa, I strive to ensure that my work is culturally sound, economically feasible, and sustainable. Regardless of which hat I may be wearing at the time, I will always welcome collaborators who can contribute talent, grit, or capital to my goal of improving the quality of life and security of vulnerable populations worldwide.
