My position as a Career Coach has been an amazing learning experience. After I joined the Career Center, I realized how important career exploration really is, especially for college students. Working closely with the FutureForward team (responsible for mentoring students in the FutureForward program), I design presentations and event posters, help with managing Career Fairs, and organize other fun events that provide students with networking and mentorship opportunities!Here are some of my responsibilities in this position: 1. Review Resumes, Cover Letters and LinkedIn Profiles of students and alumni, both in-person and asynchronously, to elevate their job and internship applications. Flexibly work with Career Readiness Peer Mentors to plan events and activities for the Future Forward Program, to provide a boost in career readiness to enrolled students. Design and organize workshops revolving around Resumes, LinkedIn profiles and Cover letters. Guide students to proper resources and Career Ambassadors to further improve applications and tailor them according to job descriptions.
