About Abdullah Alturki
I’m a PhD Candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering & Material Science at the University of Pittsburgh. I have MS & BS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and King Abdulaziz University respectively. Additionally, I hold a graduate-level certificate in Nuclear Engineering. My research interest focuses on Dynamic Systems and Control, especially in studying motion kinematics & kinetics to improve control algorithms and stability of control systems. My research allowed me to get hands-on experience in machine learning algorithms, wearable sensors, embedded control systems, and control system algorithms. My current research focuses on quantifying the exertion of human upper extremity motion during rehabilitation exercises by studying human motion kinematics & kinetics using wearable sensor technology. Besides my scientific research experience, I have 3 years of professional experience in the project management field working as a project engineer with the project management team (PMT) at Saudi Aramco Oil Company. My role has provided me with invaluable experience in managing complex projects that contribute significantly to the company\'s operations and strategic goals. I had the chance to lead cross-functional teams, coordinating efforts between engineering, procurement, and construction.
