ABOUT ABDUL FATIR ANSARI

Hi! I am an Applied Scientist at AWS AI in Berlin. I graduated with a PhD in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore (NUS) where I was advised by Dr. Harold Soh. I am broadly interested in deep generative models, encompassing the areas of probabilistic generative modeling (both implicit and explicit), variational inference, unsupervised learning, and representation learning. I especially enjoy adapting techniques from Mathematics and Physics into the context of machine learning. Of late, I have developed interest in the areas of optimal transport and stochastic differential equations, and have applied these techniques to my research.During the course of my PhD, I have worked on modeling, learning, and, sampling problems of deep generative models for image and time series data and have published at top-tier venues including CVPR, ICLR, and NeurIPS.
