As a Graduate Fire Engineer at Arup, my responsibilities include: • Contributing to fire safety design solutions for a variety of projects, including high-rise buildings, transport infrastructure, and industrial facilities. • Performing fire risk assessments and developing comprehensive fire safety strategies for projects. • Ensuring compliance with local fire safety regulations and international fire protection standards. • Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to integrate fire safety measures into the overall design of buildings and environments. • Analyzing building materials, occupant safety, and evacuation procedures, and conducting simulations to predict fire behavior and smoke movement. • Testing and evaluating fire protection systems, such as sprinklers, alarms, and smoke control systems, to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. • Ensuring fire safety solutions are cost-effective, sustainable, and customized to meet the unique needs of each project. • Staying updated on the latest fire safety technologies and methodologies to deliver innovative and safe solutions. • Contributing to world-class projects and working alongside a diverse team of experts at one of the leading engineering consultancies in the world, Arup.
