I played a key role in developing a pivotal component of a cloud-based application that enhances Joint Venture Accounting in the oil and gas sector. This service integrates historical oil pricing data to generate a predictive, 25-year oil price forecast, providing oil and gas companies with critical insights for planning and financial modelling. This service allows users to import baseline prices from Excel and recalculates forecasts monthly as new data is entered. A Year-to-Date (YTD) average is dynamically updated to fill in future months, providing companies with a continually accurate, real-time forecast.I spearheaded the design and development of an intuitive dashboard for the application that presents insights visually through graphical charts, providing users with an at-a-glance view of price trends and forecast adjustments using PowerBI.
