About Abdi Athur

I am a skilled pharmacy manager who has extensive retail pharmacy experience. I love developing emerging talent and have successfully led a high functioning team. I have trained, developed, coached and mentored pharmacy assistants, technicians, interns, pharmacists and pharmacy managers. Some of the grad interns I trained went on to become pharmacy managers.With the help of my amazing team, I earned and kept the trust of my Regional Pharmacy Leader (RPL). I then expanded my scope by helping my entire region with recruiting, pharmacy operations, event management, and team communication. I also covered two vacations for my RPL. My company\'s leadership team then recognized me in front of my pears for Earning Trust and Keeping it. I was awarded a certificate and a trophy for my work. During this same event, I was privileged to be nominated for the prestigious Rite Aid Residency Program which selects one emerging talent from each of the 11 Rite Aid divisions. I represented Washington and Orgon, which comprises of 221 stores, between June 2022 and August 2022. During this residency, I have acquired extensive knowledge and broadened my leadership and communication skills. Now, I have been nominated for University Relations and Talent Acquisitions Liaison for my region and I will be representing the Bartell Drugs and Rite Aid brand in university and company sponsored events. In addition to managing my pharmacy, I look forward to canvassing and engaging with outside talent.
