My role as Head of Civil Engineering Department is to lead and oversee all civil engineering activities across the Pre-FEED (concept selection, cost estimation), FEED (development of the detailed engineering basis), and EPC phases (execution and construction support).My key responsibilities include- Reviewing and approving engineering designs- Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations- Providing technical guidance on complex engineering challenges- Validating calculations, drawings, and technical specifications- Leading and supervising civil engineers, designers, and site personnel- Assigning projects and defining responsibilities within the team- Conducting performance evaluations- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development- Planning, coordinating, and monitoring multiple projects simultaneously- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards- Managing risks and resolving technical and operational issues- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, procurement, etc.)In addition to these responsibilities, I am directly involved in the design and engineering of- LNG storage tanks (full containment), including detailed engineering using ABAQUS- Pipe racks and pipe bridges, including detailed design using STAAD.Pro and Tekla Structures- Foundations for cryogenic equipment- Earthworks and site grading- Road design for heavy and industrial traffic- Drainage systems, including hazardous area drainage- Underground networks (firewater, sewer, oily water systems)- Brownfield integration within existing LNG terminal facilities- Pile foundation design.
