About Abdelrahman Ahmed

Hi, I\'m Abdelrahman. I graduated top of my class from CCNY back in May, 2024, with a Bachelor\'s degree in Biomedical Engineering. I\'ve gained a wealth of knowledge, ranging from biomechanics and tissue interactions, to signal processing and machine learning. I\'ve since decided to pursue a Master\'s degree in Translational Medicine, where I explored the intersection between medical technology and business development, studying topics like intellectual property and customer discovery processes. I\'ve always had a passion for learning, and I\'ve done everything I can to put myself in positions where I can learn the most.I\'ve worked in many positions and assumed many roles since day 1 of undergrad. I worked in a nanotechnology lab, advanced stem cell research, and currently study the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation on humans and animals in developing motor skills. Every experience came with its associated YouTube crash course video, and every video came with frustration because I wasn\'t an expert in the field overnight. However, I learned so much more than any video could\'ve taught me, through hands-on learning and mistake-making. I learned all about cell culture, in vitro experiments, lipid based nanoparticles, EEG signal recordings, transcranial magnetic stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation, experimental design, 3D CAD, data analysis, and the list goes on. I studied marine biology at BioBus, electrochemical additive manufacturing at Sydra, and even clinical procedures at Rapid Test NYC. All these experiences have allowed me to gain a plethora of knowledge, skills, and expertise in many different STEM, science, and medical fields, and I have no intent on stopping.I am continuing my search for my next experience, and my next opportunity to be bad at something and learn through mistake-making and hands-on learning. My interests lie in medical device design and neural engineering, implementing the use of the groundbreaking technology that no one can seem to escape: AI. I am eager to see how the field of science, medicine, and technology is revolutionized with AI, and would love to be a part of it.
