About Abdalrahman Afifi
As a current student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an area of emphasis in Cybersecurity from West Virginia University, I am passionate about developing innovative solutions that advance the technology industry. I have gained practical experience through various internships, including my most recent experience at TMG Group, where I participated in the design phase of a new project deploying soon using React and assisted in the development of icons for a used app. During my time at Georgia State Games, I edited websites using WordPress, identified a vulnerability and patched it, and developed how weekly meetings work. At SEE, I became familiarized with network fundamentals such as the 7 layers, routing and switching and established some network security, encryption, and basic network attacks.In addition to my internships, I have also worked on several relevant class projects such as building a BestBuy look-alike SEO optimized website using HTML and Angular IO and creating and designing a simple CPU using Quantum prime software and VHDL. I also worked in a group of three people to build a home security system using Raspberry Pi 4 Model B and Arduino Mega 2560 and in a group of four people to develop a basic operating system using Atom IDE using C on a virtual machine.Throughout my academic and professional career, I have developed skills in coding languages such as Java, C, Python, React, JavaScript, HTML, Angular, CSS, Node Js, and MongoDB. I am proficient in computer software including Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Word Press, and Github. Furthermore, I am a critical thinker and have experience working in groups, providing customer and personal service, and taking on leadership roles. I am excited to continue developing my skills and contributing to the technology industry.
