ABOUT ABDAL MIAH
After realising my goal of becoming a rock star was not looking likely (mainly due to the fact that I cant sing to save my life) my curiosity and passion for academia drove me to read a degree in History and a Masters in Religion and Philosophy. During this time I also acquired a vast amount of experience in sales which led to a serendipitous episode which helped build the foundations towards my career in construction (pun intended). As soon as I began my career as a Trainee Quantity surveyor I realised that this was the field I wanted to work and excel in. The idea of being a builder/lawyer/accountant in one job role was something that really appealed to me and always kept me engaged in this craft.In a small space of time I had landed an amazing opportunity to move to the Middle East. It was a three month contract. However, I was confident in my abilities to make it permanent, which it became.
