Development of company’s CAE Capability (FEA (Linear/Non Linear Static Analysis, High Cycle Fatigue Analysis, Modal Analysis and RotorDynamics (Transfer matrix and FEA). Application of these as required. • Lead the compilation and maintenance of the Drawing Office Instruction Manual, a register and control document of the company’s design standards and knowledge base.• Lead and support to the software Automation development team, including technical knowledge, alignment with established company standards and programme direction.• To offer technical support and to increase the base engineering knowledge of design engineers.• Fan testing and development: Direct, review, approve and catalogue new product design and ensure implementation as part of ongoing production engineering reviews across all departments.• Assist the management team to develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed, where appropriate.• Handle appropriate Customer (warranty) and Internal NCR’s to root cause and action appropriatelya. Implement FMEA principles (or similar) when investigating any failures – ensure that FMEA is updated to eliminate future similar errors.b. Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.• Under guidance from the Directors, ensure that all engineering activities are carried out in as cost effective and or automated method as technically possible and oversee suitable training and ongoing development needs.• Mentor and develop current engineering graduates to be future Engineers.• Keep up – to – date with latest advancements and update the Directors accordingly on how Woodcock & Wilson can be at the forefront of technology (Industry 4.0 etc). • Provide technical consultation on day-to-day engineering functions.
