About Abby Richmond

As the Communications Intern for the Office of International Affairs, at North Park University, I am constantly posting on the OIA Instagram, communicating with students, and coordinating content opportunities. This is all to increase engagement with the OIA. As a Social Media Coordinator for the men\'s basketball team at North Park University, I act as the liaison between photographers, videographers, and the teams\' online presence while also pursuing a degree in Communication and Media Studies. I am passionate about social media and marketing. I have developed skills in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign, which I use to create and edit images and layouts for various projects and assignments.I have gained valuable experience in managing conflict, multitasking, and maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while being a Desk Attendant. I have also learned to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse students and staff, as well as customers. Previously, I worked as a Server at BB\'s Grill and Bar, where I provided service to 30 customers each hour of a six-hour shift. I am looking for an opportunity to apply my communication, media, and service skills to a meaningful and challenging role in the industry. I believe I can bring a fresh and creative perspective to the team, as well as a collaborative and inclusive attitude.
