ABOUT ABBY LUKENS
I am a practiced student affairs professional with extensive experience in career coaching, recruitment, and campus programming. I currently serve as the Director of Career Services in the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine’s Student Affairs Department. I specialize in the career and professional development of undergraduate and graduate student populations through individual counseling and engaged group learning. My Top 5 Strengths Finder strengths are Individualization, Input, Learner, Intellection, and Analytical. With a background in college admissions and the student visit experience, I have had the unique experience of seeing student evolution through college life. I am most interested in inclusion and equity in higher education as well as exploring the transition and barriers in the senior year experience. Additionally, I serve as an Adjunct Faculty of Taylor Your Life, a design thinking career development lab offered within the Taylor Center for Social Innovation and Design. I regularly volunteer with the Tulane Student Conduct Office and my local sorority chapter, Tri Delta. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring New Orleans as a transplant of the city, trying new local restaurants with my husband, and visiting friends across the country.
