Assists the EIS Functional Lead by performing functional analysis tasks including participating in problem determination and resolution for cashiering hardware and systems software for Business Services. Assists in the identification of gaps between how Ellucian/SunGard Banner and Touchnet software handles processes and users’ needs and determines the most effective method for bridging the identified gaps.Provides support by serving as a contact within EIS. Works with the development team on the design and maintenance of batch job chains and components.Interacts with the functional home department to facilitate business process changes and ensures that departmental requirements are met.Researches, understands, and interprets functional requirements and regulations and formulates processes to meet those requirements and regulations.Configures the SunGard Banner System in the Accounts Receivable area to administer holds, produce electronic billing, and generate reports for Business Services within the Financial Services division. Develops testing plans and performs testing of baseline Ellucian and Touchnet software releases and patches.Assists programming staff to write, test, implement, and revise the reporting programs to complete and design web-based solutions. Responsible for the electronic feed of data from Banner using SQL developer & Argos. This electronic feed is necessary for all the daily, monthly, and yearly reporting to the A&M System, state and federal government.Researches and resolves issues reported by Business Services end-users.Develops end user documentation and training materials on how to use EIS supported applications.Uses documentation software to document baseline and TAMUS developed functional processes.Assist coordination for all electronic transaction feeds in FAMIS. Cross-trained with the Assistant Director of Business Services to prepare FTP data files and transmit to FAMIS.
