ABOUT ABBY BAKER

I am currently a senior at the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources at West Virginia University studying Industrial Engineering with a minor in Computer Science in an Accelerated Bachelor\'s and Master\'s program. I take pride in my positions as an Ambassador for the Statler College and Tutor at the Engineering Learning Center. As a student of the Statler College, I have been given the opportunity to become involved with our university’s section of Society of Women Engineers (SWE). I have had the pleasure of serving as Professional Development Chair for SWE for the past two years, and I served as President for the 20••••23 school year. SWE has allowed me to have many amazing experiences whether it\'s been attending national conferences or participating in outreach events for young girls. This summer, I am working at General Motors as an Industrial Engineering Intern in the Sustainable Workplaces group. With an anticipated graduation date of May 2024, I will hope to harness both my engineering and computer science skills for jobs in industry.
