Contribute to the development of the Corporate Quality Assurance & Food Safety (QAFS) strategy •Remain current on QAFS events, regulatory matters and certification requirements •Undertaking Supplier Risk Assessments consistent with the Corporate Supplier Risk Management Program •Manage 3rd party Certifications Schemes Administration and 3rd party auditors/audits, scheduling necessary audits with food processing businesses, managing audit submissions and payments •Lead internal QAFS audits at food processing businesses and submitting summary audit findings to Operations teams •Undertake assigned project work focused on the modernization of QAFS systems, employee training and development, and QAFS process improvement initiatives, etc. •Perform peer reviews of Regulatory and non-Regulatory QAFS systems, programs and documentation •Perform regulatory reviews of food product labels for confirmation of compliance with applicable laws and providing direction to Brand Management in this regard •Customer Management, supply Customers with QAFS specific information (written and verbal) and documentation necessary for them to undertake a risk assessment of our Richardson business(es)/product(s), maintain supplier portal access and submit QAFS related information electronically to customer(s) in a timely manner •Provide regulatory and commercial QAFS related support to the Sales & Merchandising teams for purposes of their exchanges with Customers •Collaborate with the Legal/Sales/Merchandising/Logistics/Insurance/teams in making submissions to customers (Customer Supply Agreements) by providing QAFS guidance, information and documentation necessary to satisfy each Agreement •Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, Supply Chain, Operations to assess new business opportunities providing support and direction on QAFS matters •Manage and file regulatory registrations with applicable bodies (i.e. CFIA, FDA, etc.)
