As of September 2024, I am a Trainee Solicitor at Brabners. Seat 1: Private Client (September 2024 to March 2025)Seat 2: Private Client (March 2025 to September 2025) Seat 3: Family (September 2025 to February 2026) Seat 4: Private Client (February 2026 to September 2026) I started as a Paralegal in the Brabners Private Client Department in August 2023. My training contract started on the 9th September 2024. During my first year as a Trainee in Private Client, I drafted Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and assisted with the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney. I also assisted and advised on Estate Administration including both non-taxable and taxable estates. I also supported the team with drafting of Trust documents as well as the administration of Charitable Trusts, Discretionary Will Trusts and Personal Injury Trusts. I also assisted with advising clients on Inheritance Tax and estate planning.In my current seat in the Family Department, I assist the team with a variety of family cases including divorce, financial remedy proceedings, pre-nuptial agreements and children matters. I graduated from Liverpool John Moore’s University in the summer of 2020 with a 2:1 Law LLB degree. In September 2021 I returned to LJMU to complete the Legal Practice Course with LLM. I achieved a distinction in all stage 1 and stage 2 exams as well as being deemed competent in Written Legal Skills and Oral Legal Skills and Probate. For stage 2, I elected to study Private Client, Housing Law and Employment Law and Practice. I submitted my LLM dissertation at the end of July 2022 where I achieved a first class grade. For this dissertation I researched homelessness law before, during and after covid-19. I was awarded a 77% distinction in the LPC LLM in October 2022.
