Abbey Donahue is an accomplished nuclear industry professional with over 20 years of diverse experience. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Maryland, specializing in nuclear engineering design and licensing. Abbey has a proven track record in performing neutronics analysis for both PWR and BWR core designs, as well as in the design and integration of dry fuel storage and transportation systems. Moreover, she possesses expertise in research and test reactor design and medical isotope production. In addition to her extensive technical skills, Abbey has hands-on experience with FOAK nuclear construction projects. Shas collaborated with domestic and international project teams, contributing in both leadership and supporting roles.    Abbey leads a multi-disciplinary team of engineers in the technology development for a transportable microreactor. She is responsible for the design, analysis, and development of an improved core design for the BWXT Advanced Nuclear Reactor (BANR) using an advanced TRISO fuel. This encompasses fuel development and testing, reactor system design and development, and manufacturing development. This work is supported in part by the Department of Energy’s Advanced Reactor Development Program.
