ABOUT ABBEY SHIBAN

Higher education has given me the opportunity to build a career that’s been anything but one-dimensional — and that’s exactly what I love about it. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve worked across orientation, advising leadership, accreditation and assessment, program and operational management, and new student recruitment. I’ve spent my career helping institutions run better, helping teams move forward, and most importantly, helping students succeed. I’ve learned how to lead through change, build systems, manage moving parts, create student-centered experiences, and keep the big picture in focus while still caring deeply about the individual student journey. Today, I get to bring all of those experiences together in work that feels especially impactful: helping students prepare for life after college through career development and experiential learning. I believe some of the most meaningful work we can do in higher education is helping students connect what they’re learning to where they’re going. At the end of the day, I’m passionate about creating opportunities, building strong programs, and making a difference in students’ lives — one experience, one connection, and one “you’ve got this” moment at a time.
