ABOUT ABBAS BADAMI
A tragedy struck me around age of 7, when the CRT TV at our house broke. To my surprise, a technician came and fixed it. The tiny electronic components caught my attention to such an extent that dozens of broken toys and hundreds of completed assignments later, I obtained a degree in electronics engineering.Since then, I engineered and commissioned several power plants and process industries while travelling the world. Being hungry for knowledge led me to pursue masters from University of Calgary and exposed me to the world of data analytics. However, the electricity and energy domain within me pulled me towards modelling emissions, long term outlook, resource adequacy and economics of various technologies in energy field along with decent understanding of government policies in Alberta’s electricity grid & market. Travelling across different continents and staying from rural areas to metropolitan cities exposed me to the different cultures around the globe and helped developed excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
