ABOUT ABBAS ATAYA

During the academic year of 2009/2010, I was involved in a dual diploma program at the end of which I obtained my telecomminication and programming Engineering diploma from the faculty of engineering in the Lebanese University, and my M.Sc. degree in Automatics, Robotics, Signal and Image Processing from the Ecole Centrale of Nantes, France. I prepared my Ph.D. with the CEA-Leti and the University of Télécom Päristech. My reseach focused on developing and optimizing a human activity recognition system using wearable motion sensors. The fruit of this work was the proposition of signal processing algorithms allowing better interpretation of sensor measures and thus their accurate mapping to different activities. For this, different approaches of Data Mining and Machine Learning were investigated and the final activity recognition system relied on a hybrid configuration combining two major categories of supervised classification. A real time implementation of the proposed activity recognition system was realised. I received my degree by the end of November 2013. By the end of year 2013 I occupied a post of a Consulting Engineer at Inspearit group company situated in Arcueil. I worked on a project aiming at increasing the business value of companies by guiding guiding their information system transformation. The focus of the project is to set up solutions and best practices for a continuous delivery and integration of softwares in the system to follow up the high rythm of developement in \"agile\" environments; all of this while ensuring the good quality of the whole information system. Structuration and automisation of test processes at different levels were one of the keys factors of the project.
