About Abba Anderson

Abba earned her MS in Oriental Medicine at Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College, Berkeley in 2005, and served as Editor in Chief of the California Journal of Oriental Medicine from 2006 to 2011. Acupuncturists without Borders named Abba their volunteer Hero of 2013 for her work supporting acupuncturists across the country responding to disasters. Abba has a special interest in using her acupuncture knowledge to help women who struggle with women\'s health issues, anxiety and depression.Abba grew up in Branson, Missouri, earned a Bachelor\'s degree in journalism at Mizzou in 1984, and an MA in Creative writing at Sonoma State University in 2002. When she\'s not sticking very tiny needles in people, she likes to write with friends at the Mudhouse, see almost anything playing at the Moxie, and kayak and hike all over the Ozarks.
