Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) policy expert, with special expertise in provision of children’s physical and mental health benefits, justice involved youth, and enrollment data systems and reports. Responsible for providing written and verbal technical assistance to states and health partners on implementation of CHIP policies.• Co-leader of the Connecting Kids to Coverage (CKC) National Campaign. Co-manage the activations of annual and monthly initiatives related to expanding children’s access to Medicaid and CHIP coverage, alongside CMS leadership and Campaign national partners.• To date, I’ve overseen the successful implementation of over 15 children’s health campaign initiatives, the development of a nationally distributed public service announcement, and 6 national radio media tours.• Co-Chair the Children’s Coverage Technical Advisory Group (CCTAG). Engage with CMS and state-level leadership to solicit feedback, develop agendas, identify speakers, and lead CCTAG calls with a membership of over 500 participants.• Contribute to the drafting of CMS guidance (i.e, State Health Official letters) and regulations as directed by Congressional and Agency leadership, and provide technical assistance as it pertains to CHIP to other CMS staff as needed. • Prepare briefs and issue papers, provide policy recommendations, and present to CMS leadership,including staff at the National Medicaid Director office, to solve complex policy questions and issues.• Oversee 6 CKC Medicaid and CHIP outreach and enrollment grantees to ensure they adhere to grantobjectives and goals by leading monthly calls to review progress, address challenges, and provide guidance by offering targeted support to improve outcomes.I began my federal career as an intern in the Division of Tribal Affairs at CMS, where I supported the team in finding policy solutions to pressing Medicare and Medicaid issues that impacted federal Tribes across the country.
