ABOUT AASTHA ADHIKARI

I did what most students are afraid to do—I took a gap year( to figure out my passion). I shared my wild education journey, from being a computer engineering student to then shifting to Interior Decoration and design, with someone, and they said, ‘Wow, you are so chaotic and interesting!(which is true). A bit about me: Books love me, and the feeling is mutual. I was born in Nepal, grew up in India, and now I’m exploring my creative side here in Canada. I always dreamed of becoming a pilot, but life threw lemons at me; and making lemonade was not possible,as my poor vision made that impossible. Instead, I stumbled into design in the most unusual way, and suddenly, it all clicked and started making sense! As soon as I realized my love for creating and designing, I knew I had to take it seriously—so I packed my bags and flew to Canada to study Interior Decoration. Initially, when I entered the job market, money was my main focus. But after cracking some sales deals and earning those commissions, I realized something was missing—the passion, the spark. That’s when I transitioned to something more creative—graphic and Interior design. Now, as an Interior Decoration student, learning has never been this fun. I’m learning about color theory and design fundamentals, and deep into the oddly satisfying world of curating spaces, whether it\'s CAD, Illustrator, or turning design ideas into reality; I am loving every moment. Skills? Oh, I have got a few—customer service, sales, Canva, Illustrator, basic web designing, and Microsoft 365. But at the heart of it all, now I’m just someone who has fallen hard for creation and curating.
