ABOUT AASHNA KAUR TOMAR
I am a long-time advocate for health care reform and implementing value-based practices to care delivery models. I believe that it is in how we pay for healthcare services where most change needs to happen, and I fully invest my time in working towards this goal. I am also passionate about health policy analysis, and have a wide set of skills in understanding the frameworks of health policymaking globally.I spend most of my time, in and outside of work, understanding the administration of CalAIM or California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal. As a healthcare management and strategy consultant, I use my data analytics and health policy skills to support CalAIM implementation, providing internal project planning and technical assistance to providers and health plans seeking to implement and expand Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports for populations of focus. These populations of focus include children and youth, adults, and justice-involved individuals in California.
