ABOUT AASHIYANA ADHIKARI
As a Research Officer at the Center for South Asian Studies (CSAS), I conduct research on the impact of digitalization, democracy, and development in South Asia. I have published multiple articles and papers on these topics, in collaboration with prestigious organizations such as UNESCO and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Japan. I have also participated in several international conferences and workshops, where I presented my findings and exchanged ideas with experts and practitioners. In addition, I worked as a Trainee at The Rooth Law Firm, where I contribute to the legal research and analysis of various cases related to human rights, gender, and social justice. I assisted the senior attorneys in drafting documents, preparing arguments, and conducting interviews. I also supported the firm\'s outreach and advocacy efforts, such as writing blog posts, newsletters, and reports. My core competencies include writing, communication, creative writing, and legal research. I hold a Master\'s degree in Gender and Development Studies from Asian Institute of Technology, where I explored the intersectionality of gender, policy, and power in various contexts. I am fluent in English, Nepali, and Hindi, and have a basic knowledge of Thai. I am motivated by the vision of a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable world, and seek to apply my skills and knowledge to advance this cause.
