About Aarushi Vikram
I hold a Double MA in International Politics and Gender and Development with a primary research interest in Terrorism and Conflict, and a BA (Hons) Degree in Political Science. I have been working as a researcher for the past five years within think tanks and NGOs. I presently head research at Uniform Rights and Justice Assured (URJA), an NGO providing legal counsel and information to underprivileged women, pro-bono. My works include – a Dissertation Thesis titled, “Differing Consequences of War: Why does the Status and Contributions of Women in Conflict Differ in Different Nations?” (September, 2018); “AMISOM Amidst the Dangers of Al-Shabaab” (Africa Trends, Volume 8, Issue 1, January-Jun 2019); “James Hamill, Africa’s Lost Leader: South Africa’s Continental Role Since Apartheid” (Africa Trends, Volume 9, Issue 1, January-June 2020) and Chapter15. ‘The Curious Case of Pakistan’s Nuclear Proliferation Network’, Pakistan’s Security Dynamics and Nuclear Weapons by Dr. Shalini Chawla and Dr. Rajiv Nayan, published 31st October 2022.
