About Aaron Pessin

As a finance major at Bentley University, I am passionate about learning and applying financial concepts and skills to real-world scenarios. I have completed coursework in accounting, economics, law, and statistics, and I am proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks. I am also a member of the Bentley Investment Group, where I research and analyze stocks and bonds for our portfolio. I have gained valuable experience in the banking and accounting sectors through my internships at MidFirst Bank, American Business Bank, and Morton Scrap Metal. At MidFirst, I am currently assisting with commercial lending activities, such as reviewing financial statements, conducting credit analysis, and preparing loan documents. At American Business, I helped determine the creditworthiness of potential borrowers and created spreadsheets and cash flow projections. At Morton, I performed bookkeeping, invoicing, and variance analysis tasks, as well as some physical labor. Through these internships, I have developed strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a keen attention to detail and accuracy. I have also demonstrated initiative, problem-solving, and leadership abilities, such as when I proposed and implemented a new system to streamline the invoice process at Morton, resulting in a 15% reduction in errors and a 10% increase in customer satisfaction. I am eager to continue learning and growing as a finance professional, and I am excited to contribute to the success of 1st Century Bank this summer.
