As a Roger Revelle Fellow, I provide specialized technical support to strengthen global disaster resilience at the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR). My role connects quantitative risk analysis with tangible policy and implementation. I support multi-hazard risk analytics by developing quantitative models and risk profiles for client countries, which in turn informs disaster risk finance initiatives through vulnerability and cost-benefit analyses. I translate this analysis into action by focusing on regulatory systems and capacity building. This includes advancing building regulations for resilience by analyzing regulatory gaps and providing policy recommendations. I also support resilient housing initiatives by developing new technical training modules and guiding government agencies on integrating safer standards.
