Since its inception in 2014, I have been fortunate to shoot and field produce for \"UFC: Embedded\", a documentary Youtube based show that follows the main fighters during fight week. Lastly, I have worked as a fight night cinematographer in and out of the octagon providing specialty footage for archive and broadcast needs since early 2013.

ABOUT AARON MENDEZ

Aaron MendezDirector of Photography I’ve spent my career capturing real moments that resonate—whether it’s the raw emotion of an athlete’s journey, the energy of a live performance, or the quiet power of a single shot. I’ve been lucky to do what I love across a wide range of projects, from shooting for NBC Sports at the Olympics to working on intimate athlete documentaries, UFC promos, and even filming at iconic places like the Louvre with Snoop Dogg. With 17 Emmy nominations and 3 wins, I’ve learned that great cinematography comes down to being present in the moment and finding the shot that tells the story best. I pride myself on working in real time—whether I’m following athletes with a gimbal, flying FPV drones, or using long lenses to capture sweeping stadium shots. My goal is always to make viewers feel like they’re right there, experiencing the action firsthand. What drives me is a genuine love for storytelling and collaboration. I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing teams on everything from feature docs to Olympic opens. I’m always looking for ways to push the envelope and try something new, whether it’s experimenting with new gear or finding fresh angles to shoot from.If you’re looking for a cinematographer who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves to bring authentic, cinematic moments to life, let’s connect.
