Product Development Engineer at Ford’s Chicago Assembly Plant, home of the Lincoln Aviator and Ford Explorer Responsible for delivering quality objectives and implementing cost reductions on the interior for the Lincoln Aviator; IP & Console, Hard & Soft Trim, Door trim, and Seating & Restraints- Addressing warranty claims from all North America dealerships through sorting and tracking claims as they pertain to design, plant process, and/or supplier quality- Create 8D documentation on problem solving emerging and repeating issues. Root cause analysis, FMEA, and Ford quality systems investigations- Run trials in-line and off-line for design and process changes- Implement issue resolution for new model year Launch and Post-launch issues Cross functional collaboration with the corporate Core and Design Teams, the Process, Manufacturing, Supplier, and Quality engineers within the plant, and the tier 1 & 2 suppliers Validate design installation feasibility, fastening illustration drawings, design intent, and design changes with 3D CAD modeling software (Teamcenter)
