ABOUT AARON LICHT
From being a gamer kid to becoming the CEO of an industry-leading company.It all started in in my parents\' basement. Gaming down there, like there was no tomorrow, I soon started tinkering with my computer to make it quieter and faster.I was – as you’d say – a classic nerd. Back then, being a nerd was anything but cool, and gaming was nothing more than a niche industry. But that didn’t stop me. At the age of 16, I launched my first website to share my knowledge about tuning hardware, and I was quickly approached by companies who wanted to advertise on my website. The website continued to grow and eventually became a limited company, that I then sold in my mid-20s. Through this experience, I was able to say more about the market and its offerings than most other hardware tech companies. That’s when I founded technikPR, where we continue to advise companies such as AMD, Gigabyte, and CHERRY on marketing and PR topics.Simultaneously, after years of working in partnership with be quiet! I was asked by their founders to run their company (- mind you, my career started with them advertising on my blog back when I was a teenager).And I said yes without hesitation!Now that basement kid from back then is the CEO of a company with over 150 employees - what a turnaround! But not only I have developed. The gaming industry has changed too. Today nerds are cool, and gaming is hip. With 3.2 billion gamers and a turnover of more than 200 billion euros worldwide, the gaming industry has become very influential. be quiet, is part of this and is actively shaping the future of gaming hardware.
