The primary focus of this role is to enable full SDLC to reliably deploy software. Adding strategies and tools to deliver full SDLC in a hybrid OnPrem / Cloud environment. This position did not formerly exist within Orthofix so the instantiation of this role was left solely to the DevOps Engineer.• Responsible for establishing DevOps Methodologies in an organization where it never existed. Instantiated methods for relieving technical debt; proposed new Release Management protocols; established and expanded deployment environments from Dev to Prod with QA, UAT, and Staging included.• Brought awareness and (the inception of) adoption of Automation to the Organization utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform in effort to empower Citizen Developers. Developed multiple Cloud Automation Workflows utilizing PowerAutomate, PowerApps, PowerBI, and Dataverse.• Internal/Team specific management including instantiation of new Release Management protocols, garnering sign-off and discussion with business owners and stakeholders, and development of a Release Management On-Call protocol to alleviate errors during releases.• Migrated over 100 applications and microservices to new environments to reduce technical debt from old/unsupported architecture.• Ensure availability of Development, QA, UAT, Staging, and Production Environments based both in-house (via VMWare) and Azure Compute.• Automated software and infrastructure deployments for over 6 software projects across three global business units.• Heavily involved with tooling and platform recommendations to mature DevOps and Release Management.Toolsets Utilized: Azure DevOps, Ansible, LaunchDarkly, git, GitHub, Jenkins, Azure Actions, GitLab, Atlassian JIRA, Azure Compute, Docker, Nagios, SolarWinds, Veracode, Mulesoft, RHEL, RedGate,
