About Aaron Gouveia
I create the messaging that says what needs to be said. I identify the best platform on which to say it. I train the people delivering the message to say all the things in the most effective way possible. I also know what to say to journalists to get coverage.Great stories happen to those who can tell them.Journalism is the foundation on which my career is built. I began my career as a newspaper reporter and learned the pillars of effective storytelling in ink-stained newsrooms courtesy of curmudgeonly copy editors. From there, I became a Content Manager for IBM creating newsletters focused on small business and consumers read by opt-in subscribers. From there it was on to a Boston PR agency where I worked my way up to Vice President of Public Affairs responsible for of new business, and finally to my current PR Director role where I\'ve overseen more than secured media opportunities annually, worth more than $10M. I assist with executive communications, speechwriting, media training, influencer marketing, crisis communications, reputation management, and community relations for the largest nature-based conservation organization in New England. In my spare time, I\'m also the author of two award-winning parenting books and contributor to CNN, TIME, The Washington Post, Huffington Post, and Parents Magazine.Bottom line? There\'s a lot of noise out there and I find ways to cut through it and stand out to get results. I know what gets press because I was the press and I help companies navigate crises to mitigate reputational damage while pivoting toward opportunities. The most interesting stories prevail and I like to win.
