Launched and ramped up Tesla’s Energy MegapackXL high-voltage PCBAs with dual source Supply base in Mexico and Thailand.• Achieved ~$11.23M in savings by implementing BOM cost downs, reviewing assembly processes, cycle times and supplier’s performance.• Ensured BOM clear to build (CTB) to avoid line-down by leveraging Tesla’s supply base, component supplier escalations, multi-source components.• Collaborated with Electronic Design team to identify 200+ component alternates to solve material shortages.• Teamed up with other GSMs to ensure component allocation to ensure all Tesla CMs continue PCBA manufacturing.• Established commercial relationships between Tesla’s Contract Manufacturers.Responsibilities:• Develop spend strategies, identify potential EMS/CM and component suppliers, analyze supplier capabilities, supplier selection, and determine prices, terms, and conditions of agreements.• Supplier Operations Management.• Generate and send forecast to tier 2 vendors to ensure capacity and visibility down the supply chain.• Keep track of supplier capacity, operations, performance, and ramp schedule to meet NPI and mass production needs.• Work with design engineers for BoM scrubbing to ensure preferred vendor selection.• Work collaboratively with other GSM, Planning, Design, Sales, and Finance to align with business objectives.• Develop the process flow, factory layout, and equipment capacity of suppliers.• Responsible for working with suppliers on achieving high utilization on production lines and to maintainoptimal capacity planning.• Suppliers On Time Delivery performance.• Supplier Quality Performance.• Supplier Production Capacity.
