ABOUT AARON MADSEN

I am passionate about empowering individuals to pursue work that ignites their enthusiasm and drives them toward constant self-improvement. My career has been dedicated to supporting others, whether by mentoring junior staff, collaborating with clients and colleagues to resolve project challenges, or fostering growth through encouraging others to step into new and sometimes uncomfortable roles.In my current position as the Manager of the Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation team at SaskPower, I lead efforts in managing our portfolio of contaminated sites and spills, as well as overseeing our corporate sustainability portfolio.My professional experience is grounded in consulting engineering, collaborating extensively with clients and stakeholders to achieve successful project outcomes. I have assumed various roles such as field engineer, project engineer, and project manager, contributing to hundreds of contaminated site projects. Subsequently, I advanced to Environmental Team Lead and eventually Operations Manager at Wood’s Regina office, managing environmental, geotechnical, and materials testing services throughout southern Saskatchewan. One of the notable highlights of my career was managing the design and construction of a new office building and materials testing laboratory in Regina.My professional passions are diverse, encompassing contaminated site assessment and remediation, leadership, financial and operational management, strategic planning, and mentoring.
