About Aaron Rabinowitz

As an experienced patent strategist and business attorney, I counsel Fortune 50 companies, emerging companies, and leading universities on managing their intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights. I have negotiated significant buyouts, asset purchases, and licenses on behalf of my clients, and when litigation becomes necessary, I also represent clients at the trial and appellate levels, drawing on my experience as a law clerk to federal trial court and appellate court judges.I work directly with personnel at all levels, including C-level personnel, in-house counsel, technology managers, faculty members, and individual inventors. My chemical engineering background allows me to advise in a broad range of technical fields, including chemistry, pharmaceuticals, materials science, electronics, diagnostics, optical devices, nanotechnology, consumer products, medical devices, manufacturing, and alternative energy.I have been honored to serve as an adjunct professor of patent law at Temple University School of Law for more than a decade, and I am also a frequent guest lecturer at Princeton University\'s School of Engineering and Applied Science. I have also provided continuing legal education programs at intellectual property law association events and at Fortune 500 corporations.

I apply my problem-solving background in chemical engineering and my legal training as a federal trial and appellate law clerk to help clients develop, monetize and enforce deep intellectual property portfolios that support their business objectives. My clients include emerging companies, Fortune 50 corporations and Ivy League academic institutions. My representations involve a wide variety of technologies, including orthopedic devices, medical diagnostic systems, conventional and alternative energy technologies, biotechnology, aerospace components, industrial chemicals, materials, nanotechnology and electronic devices. With experience at every stage of the intellectual property lifecycle, I counsel clients on crafting cost-efficient intellectual property portfolios that best meet their needs - whether those needs are protecting the client’s own products, monetizing intellectual property through licensing, or enforcing that intellectual property against competitors in courts and in alternative dispute forums.
