ABOUT AARON ROBERTSON
I am an editor at Spiegel & Grau, an independent publishing house, where I solicit and review submissions, acquire fiction and nonfiction titles, and provide editorial support for the senior editorial team. I have a Master of Studies in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Arts in Italian Language and Literature from Princeton University. I was also a James Reston Reporting Fellow at The New York Times, writing for the Metro desk under the guidance of editors and senior reporters.As a writer and translator, I have a passion for exploring the intersections of culture, history, and identity. My nonfiction debut, THE BLACK UTOPIANS: Searching for Paradise and the Promised Land in America, is forthcoming from Farrar, Straus and Giroux (US) and Chatto & Windus (UK). My work has appeared in Foreign Policy, The Nation, n+1, Detroit Metro Times, Los Angeles Review of Books, and other publications.
