ABOUT AARON RICKARD-SMITH
As the Head of People and Culture at Kinetic, a software company for the higher education industry, I am responsible for the ongoing HR function and employee experience. I work as a player-coach at a strategic level, ensuring that the business has a People Strategy that supports the lofty business objectives, as well as handling day-to-day HR matters.I am passionate about formulating data insights to make informed decisions at every level, from individual personal development to strategic 10-year business objectives. I believe that employee experience is as important as any other board metric, and I am passionate about delivering a contemporary, data-driven (but human-centric) people provision and giving rise to the best ROI on employee experience. Some of my main accomplishments at Kinetic include successfully managing an acquisition and right-sizing within my first two months, and introducing engagement metrics and an engagement platform with demonstrable results. I have also been a freelance HR consultant for various businesses, helping them with data analysis and insights, and supporting local small businesses during the pandemic.
