I am a two-time alumnus of the University of Louisville. In May of 2012 I earned my Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, and in May of 2015 I graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in the top half of my graduation class. I was admitted to the Kentucky Bar after successfully passing the July, 2015 Kentucky Bar Examination. Former Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney with Ferreri Partners, PLLC wherein I specialized in the area of Workers\' Compensation Defense. As a defense attorney at a high-volume firm, I was tasked with a variety of different job duties. I was charged with handling Kentucky Workers’ Compensation Claims from inception to conclusion, which included: conducting Plaintiffs’ discovery depositions, physicians’ depositions, employer representative conferences/depositions, as well as being required to attend Benefit Review Conferences, conduct Final Hearings, and cover other miscellaneous status conferences as needed. My position further allowed me to regularly utilize my written advocacy skills as I consistently drafted Defendant briefs, as well as a plethora of other pleadings throughout the pendency of the litigation process. Lastly, my former practice afforded me the opportunity to negotiate countless settlement agreements with Plaintiffs’ counsel, and gave me a chance to better hone my abilities as an experienced and tactful negotiator. Former Director of Operations at Facilities Management Services. There, I oversaw a team of 350 employees, which required daily supervision of all things janitorial operations. I interviewed, hired, and managed training program for all leadership staff within my book of business. Was tasked with conducting weekly account visits and performing quality audits at each individualized facility which I managed. Provided weekly janitorial operations updates to other members of the senior leadership team. Created daily coverage plans, fielded employee callouts, and corrected time for employees. I regularly communicated and met with customer contacts to discuss cleanliness of facilities, scope of work, contract questions, and offered timely responses to all customer requests, concerns, and complaints. Managed a 10-million-dollar P&L. Currently working in the capacity as Senior Compliance Professional with Humana.
