ABOUT AARON JOHNSON

As a fourth-generation garbage man, I have not only made waste management a life-long priority, but a meaningful and impactful career. I obtained my start early-on while being immersed in the various responsibilities of a family business started by my great grandfather in Northwest Indiana. There, I worked on the front lines - greasing rear-load trucks, changing tires, assisting drivers and eventually became a driver. In 2003, WM acquired my family business, just a few months after I graduated from Purdue University.At 22, I began my leadership journey as a District Manager at WM. Since then, I\'ve taken on a variety of roles with increasing responsibility, including Senior District Manager in Illinois, Area Director of Collection Operations, and Corporate Director of Operations overseeing the Northern U.S. and Canada. Most recently, I served as Area Vice President of the Great Lakes Area. Now, as President of the Midwest at Reworld, I’m proud to lead all aspects of the business in this region with a strong focus on growth, innovation and strengthening our capabilities.
