ABOUT AARON GOLDNER
Aaron has over 10 years of legislative and executive branch experience including drafting andimplementing climate and energy policies aimed at reducing our emissions. He has extensiveexperience in and a strong understanding of advanced climate technologies, energy and gridsystems, and policies aimed at decarbonizing power, industrial, and transportation sectors. Hiswork experience spans across Capitol Hill, the Department of Energy (DOE), and as a climatescientist.Aaron now serves as a professional staff member on the Senate Appropriations Committee,focusing on DOE and other energy agencies. He leads budget and oversight responsibilities for a$14-billion-dollar portfolio in federal programs including DOE’s Office of Science, NuclearEnergy, Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, and the Office of Clean EnergyDemonstrations. He was involved in drafting pieces of the Infrastructure Investment and JobsAct and the Inflation Reduction Act. Aaron is a trained climate scientist with degrees from Oregon State University where he studiedEarth and Environmental Science and has a PhD from Purdue University in climate dynamicsand global climate modeling. Additionally, he worked as a post-baccalaureate fellow at LosAlamos National Laboratory.
