ABOUT AARON GALER

Environmental Scientist, Project Manager, and Subject Matter Expert with 25 byears experience. I spent the first 10 years of my career in environmental consulting with CH2M Hill. I was provided many opportunities to learn and grow under a few good men and women from the time my summer internship began in 2001 to the time I left as a project manager ten years later. The majority of my time was spent performing site investigations, remedial actions, groundwater monitoring, and preparing agency reports. After 10 years, my career advancement was very slow. I really liked my job, my peers, and most of my bosses and clients, but an opportunity presented itself that was too good to pass up. In December 2010, I took a new role with Williams Northwest Pipeline as an Environmental Scientist managing their remediation program. Oil and Gas operations and compliance was new to me so I had a lot to learn and still do, but it was an incredible opportunity to advance my career. I\'ve been with Williams for nearly 15 years as an Environmental Scientist/Specialist, Project/Program Manager, and Subject Matter Expert(SME). I manage remediation programs for our gathering and processing and transmission assets that span the country. Over the past 7 years, I’ve developed into a SME for Technologically Enhanced Naturally Occurring Radioactive Materials (TENORM), Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), and Mercury as they relate to Oil & Gas gathering, processing, and transmission. I have both led and supported multiple environmental compliance audits at facilities across the country and led the development of several enterprise-wide operating procedures. The wide variety of challenges and opportunities that I’ve experienced and learned from throughout my career have provided me with a solid foundation and the technical skills needed to consistently achieve personal and company goals and drive continuous improvement in the EHS arena.
